APPLICATION TO ADOPT A BULL TERRIER

General Information

Before completing this questionnaire please note that we do not, as a rule, rehome to families with children, or regular visiting children, under 10 years of age. However, in exceptional circumstances, we may go down to a sensible 8 year old. We also do not rehome to people without a secure garden of their own. Please also note that we cannot rehome any of ours dogs to Northern or Southern Ireland, the Isle of Man, the Isle of Wight, or anywhere outside of England, Scotland or Wales.

When completing this questionnaire please give as much information as possible as this will help with your application. If this questionnaire is completed successfully you will be placed on our waiting list of potential adopters. If you are not successful for any reason you will still be contacted and the reasons why explained.

If you are interested in a particular dog already up for rehoming please state this at the top of your reply. However, if you see a dog that you are interested in at a later date please feel free to contact us again to let us know.

Please note that any rehoming will be subject to passing a homecheck. We may also wish to obtain a reference from your vet.

Any dogs placed through us are rehomed against a donation to Bullies in Need. The donation is £100 for dogs over 1 year old and £125 for dogs under 1 year old.

Please note that we are run entirely on donations and on funds raised by ourselves and our volunteers. All dogs that come into our care are vaccinated, neutered and chipped where necessary and possible. Also any necessary veterinary treatment is carried out and paid for from our limited funds.

You and your lifestyle

1. Have you had any experience of Bull Terriers? (also known as English Bull Terriers)? If so please give details.

2. Please tell us about your human family - including everyones ages

3. Do you have any regular visiting children? If so what ages?

4. Do you have any other pets? Please tell us if any current dogs are male or female. (Please note that if you already have a dog it is vital that you have the facilities to keep the 2 dogs separate when you are not at home)

5. Do you have any regular visiting dogs? If so what sex are they?

6. Do you go out to work? If so what would be the maximum time the dog would be left over the course of the whole day and evening?

7. If the dog needs to be left at all, where would this be? I.E. kitchen, etc

8. Will the dog have access to the whole of your house whilst you are there?

9. Do you have an enclosed garden? If so, how high is the fence and what type of fencing is it?

10. Do you have access to places where you can take your dog for walks? (I.E. woods, parks etc). Please tell us how much exercise you will be able to provide for the dog

11. Why do you want a Bull terrier? (I.E. What is it you know and like about them)

12. Why do you think you would make a suitable Bull terrier owner?
