Zara

Zara

Age: Around 1 year old.
Sex: Female
Breed: Staffie
Size: Standard
Colour: White.

Neutered: No
Vaccinated: No
Medical history: Has been kept up to date with flea and worm treatment but is believed to be in good health.
Behavioural history: Nervous at time.
Likes: Going in our play pen and playing football.

Summary: Zara needs an owner that has time and the patience to train her on the lead. Brucie

Brucie

Summary: Meet Brucie; he is a five-year-old, white Staffordshire Bull Terrier brought back to the Bath Cats and Dogs in November 2005 - originally arriving in September 2004, as a stray.

Brucie is a sweet, friendly, affectionate dog who just loves everyone he meets. He is enthusiastic, playful, loves his cuddles and adores being fussed over. He especially likes having his tummy tickled and enjoys being groomed. Brucie knows most of his basic commands enjoys his walks and walks well on a harness. He is seeking a new home without other animals or children as he tends to be over protective of his toys and his bones and likes to eat alone! He is a good natured chap, full of character as he would just lap up all the attention, a real softie ' however is seeking an active home where someone is at home a lot of the day as he doesn't like being left too long.

Can you offer our lovely lad a home he can call his own?

Age: 2
Sex: Female
Breed: Select Breed Miniature Staffordshire Bull Terrier
Size: Mini
Colour: Black
Reason for rescue: Found as a stray.
Neutered: No
Vaccinated: Unknown
Medical history: Not Known
Behavioural history:
Likes: Cuddles
Dislikes: Nothing
Area: Humberside
Summary: Yes that's right, Miss Piggy is the smallest Staffy I have ever seen. She's about pug size and the sweetest little girl I've met. She loves everyone and wants nothing but cuddles and quite unashamedly likes to be carried like a baby. She's been in kennels way too long now and being over looked time and again as people wanting Staffys want the larger bigger type and people wanting small dogs donâ t want a staffy. I nearly put her in my handbag and brought her home but she really deserves some love and attention all to herself so please if you think you have the love to give to this adorable little snuffler call Leconfield Kennels Nr Hull 01964 551351

Tyler

Tyler

Re-homed

Breed: Old English Bulldogge
Summary: Tyler is an olde English Bulldogge who has come in due to a change in her owners' circumstances. Tyler is 5 years old, loves people and is just a big softy. Her new family should not have any younger children but older ones should be fine. We are not sure how well she would get on with another dog, but she is not good with cats. Tyler is house trained, spayed and microchipped,

Tyler being an Olde English Bulldog has a greater life expectancy than the British Bulldog and we would expect her to keep going up to 11 or 12 years old.

If you think that you could offer Tyler a new home and would like to visit her telephone 07050 264 531 (answerphone), leaving a message with your contact details for Joyce. Please remember to include a contact telephone number.

Sonny

Sonny

Re-homed

Age: 6 months
Sex: Male
Breed: Staffy Cross
Size: Standard
Colour: Black and tan
Reason for rescue: No fault of his own
Neutered: Yes
Vaccinated: Yes
Medical history: He is healthy
Behavioural history: Sonny is a 6 month old puppy who has had no training what so ever, he is eager to learn and quickly picks things up. He has loads of energy and is extremely lovable.
Likes: Sonny loves cuddles and attention, but will also amuse himself with his toys when left alone, he loves to play, he also enjoys his walks.
Dislikes: None known
Area: Lincolnshire
Summary: Sonny has had a bad start to life, but desperately wants to please, he has loads of love to give and will make a great family pet. He will need training and is not house trained, but I don't think that would take long as he is already improving despite being kenneled at the moment, with plenty of time out he is learning where to 'go'. he gets on with other dogs so can go to a home where there is already a bitch. He can go to a family with children above 8 who are used to being around a boisterous dog. He does jump up but is learning that it isn't acceptable.

You must be able to be prepared to put in the effort for Sonny as his next home must be his last. The rewards you will get from owning a dog like Sonny will be immeasurable

Rocky

Rocky

Re-homed

Age: 9 months
Sex: Male
Breed: American bull dog
Size: Standard
Colour: White with body markings
Reason for rescue: no fault of his own
Neutered: No
Vaccinated: Yes
Medical history: Walked through a thorn bush recently on antibiotics for swelling.
Behavioural history: Cautious to start with, was bitten by a Staffie at 5 months, once settled he starts to play. No aggression to date
Is intrested in cats once he see's them
Likes: He lives with a 6 yr old child walking
Dislikes: Cats, and is a chewer of skirting boards
Area: Bedfordshire
Summary: Rocky is a very lively 8 month old puppy, due to his size this is not good around young children. He will need experienced owners, he is very loving.

He is nervous around over dogs until he is sure there are no threat to him. He has eaten skirting boards but what puppy hasn't? He loves walkies and will walk for hours, so be warned this boy will need some walking.

The basics of training has been started but will need to kept up by his new owners, he is house trained.

He will need a lot of time and energy but will make someone a good pet.

Misty

Misty

Re-homed

Age: 1 year
Sex: Female
Breed: Staff X Mastiff
Size: Standard
Summary: Misty came to us as a stray, she is very bouncy and full of energy! Misty is OK with other big dogs and would be fine to live with another neutered male dog. She dislikes anything small like cats/rabbits. She will need a home with no young children as she is too boisterous. She will also need someone home most of the day, as she is only young but would be OK left 1/2 hours in in a crate.

All our Animals are neutered, vaccinated, micro-chipped and wormed before leaving, and homing is subject to homechecks.

Ty (Tyson)

Ty (Tyson)

Re-homed

Age: 16mths
Sex: Male
Breed: Staffy X ABD
Size: Standard
Colour: Brindle & white
Reason for rescue: His typical young bullie behaviour was too much for his retired female owner & he wasn't getting the exercise or stimulation he needed.
Neutered: No
Vaccinated: Yes
Medical history: No known medical conditions.
Behavioural history: Ty is very affectionate & can be demanding of your attention. He has been raised with visiting children & often mixed with his parents. Ty is crate trained but will sometimes object to going into his crate, this can be easily worked on. He knows basic commands. Ty pulls like a train on his lead, but again this could easily be worked on. He has never been walked without a soft muzzle & will bark & strain to get to other dogs he sees in the street, it is not yet known if he is dog aggressive, although initial signs are that he is not. His foster carer will update about this in due course. Ty is not tested with small furries.
Likes: Lots of attention!!
Dislikes: None known
Area: Dundee, Scotland
Summary: Ty is a big boy who deserves a family to call his own. He will need lots of exercise & stimulation, in return he will offer you unconditional love & loyalty & lots & lots of cuddles!

During the time that i spent with Ty, i found him to be a well balanced young lad who has lots of energy & loves to play. He was gentle & affectionate, not too jumpy & not at all mouthy.

I'm sure he'll be a cracking companion for someone.

Roxy

Roxy

Re-homed

Summary: My name is Roxy I am a Staffordshire bull terrier and I am 19 weeks old. I started my life at a breeders kennels in Wales, they then sent me to a big kennels in Manchester where a family came to see me and took me home. I was with these people for a few weeks and the man went out and never came home. I played with the lady and her children (16 & 18) and they never shouted at me for nipping them. There was a fluffy thing called a cat in this house I wanted to play but it didn't so I decided not to bother. I had to got to the vet and have some needles and what they called a chip put in. I heard them say the man was not coming back and I was then left on my own for a long time each day, I didn't like it and would cry on my bed. One night my family put me in car and took me to another house, they were crying and I wondered what was happening. They left me with a family that had 3 big dogs that looked quite ugly compared to me.

I love the family I am with now and want to play with them all the time but I know they have some rules.

I am not allowed to bite them when I play, I do forget sometimes but mostly I will lick.

I am have to go to the toilet in the garden, but once or twice I have left it too late to tell them and have had an accident near the door. I also go for a walk and I make them laugh when I jump up and then pick my feet up to put my harness on.

I have to got to my bed, a strange thing they call a crate that I hadn't seen before but it is comfy and I know its time to go to sleep when I go in there.

They have left me for a little while, but I sleep in my crate and wait quietly for them to come home.

I didn't much like the food at my old home but here I get something called minced beef or fish with my food and it is scrummy and I scoff it all up.

I have lots of toys and I have a piece of fluffy stuff by the fire where it is lovely to chew on my nylabone or drop off to sleep.

My new family have taken me to meet their friends, I have met some children and other dogs, it was great and I liked all of them. I have also made some friends that pass while I am in the garden and I always run up to say hello, there is a funny little fluffy dog that sticks its nose through the gate for a kiss (who can blame it I am gorgeous after all). The ugly big dogs have been to say hello through the gate and my crate and I like them and I think they liked me, I didn't bark or growl I just wagged my tail and I think they like it as they did the same.

I have heard my new family say they cannot keep me forever and have seen some of them cry, I hope my next family will be able to keep me forever and never have to cry for me, I don't like moving around and want to have my own fire to snooze by if I do get my own fire I will love the family forever and give lots of kisses and cuddles.

Bye for now

Roxy

Roman

Roman

Re-homed

Summary: This is Roman. He is an American bull dog and is in his home in the Manchester area.
He is entire male and neutering will have to be done. Roman has never been vaccinated as he had p-arvo when he was a puppy which he pulled through.
Roman does not get on with other dogs due to being attacked himself. He lives with a another dog but that's the only one he can tolerate.
Roman is a big strong lad that will need some one with experience of this breed to bring him on.
He has not yet been assessed by any B.I.N representative. Roman lives with kids as u can see but with the size of him we feel maybe 10 and above for him.
The lady who owns Roman just wants a good home for him that can give him the love and attention he so needs.
