Hello my name is Dave and I am a 4 year old mastiff X boxer. I lived with a family since I was a puppy and they had 4 young children which I adored, but my dad used to tease me a lot which has lead me to be grumpy at times. I found myself needing a new home but nobody wanted me so I was due to be put to sleep just because I had nowhere to go, and that’s when Bullies in need stepped in. They made a kennel available for me and I went to stay at a ladies house overnight so that she could take me to the kennels in the morning, but I heard her say that she just couldn't take me there and leave me all alone because it would ruin me. I had been used to living in a family and being locked in a kennel all day would have made me very unhappy. I didn't get off to the best start with this lady. She tried to take my food bowl and my toys away and I gave her a telling off to try and push my luck, but I soon realised that she wasn't a push over like most of the female humans that I had come across, so I gave them up pretty easily. I am not that keen on females and tend to ignore most of them, but I do absolutely adore men. I even jump up random men in the street like I have known them all my life, but they are not usually too happy as I am a very big boy and can almost knock them over! I have been in my foster home just over a week now and I have really settled in well. My foster mum says that even though I was a grump at first, all of that growling was just my way of communicating. After all, I was very scared and confused, I had no idea where I was, who this strange lady was or what I was doing there! She is not so bad though, so now I always try and play with her and go up to her for a good old cuddle sometimes too. I love children but I do need time to adapt to them first as they can be quite scary. I love other dogs too and always want to play, so living with a playful female dog would be ideal for me! It might take me a week or so to settle in my new home, but once I trust you I am a totally different dog to the one that will arrive at your door. I just need time to settle in so that I can come out of my shell. ·
Hello my name is Jack the jackrussle and i am approx 3 years old. I am typical of the breed and what i lack in size i make up for in attitude! I love to rule the roost, and have a bull terrier brother that I quite honestly bully a little bit. Its making him very unhappy so I need a new home.
I am not keen on children, they make me nervous, but I have lived with other dogs before with no problems. The most important thing is that my new owner knows what monkeys us jack russles can be, and can show me whos boss. I love walks and am great off lead. I need some work on lead but i am very clever so could even be taught to work. I love being active so it would be perfect for me! I do have a massive snuggly side though and will love you forever if you let me under the blanket!
I was saved from the pound a year ago after almost being put to sleep, but need a new home again.
