Annie - Little Irish Orphan Appeal

Annie

Annie

Annie came to BINs attention in May 2009 when she came into the pound in Ireland. She had been found as a stray weighing little more than 14kg and with sores, cuts and scars all over her. We all thought that this little girl, who came into the pound with no name...just a collar, was going to have a happy ending very quickly as she was rehomed by the Irish pound, but in June she returned to the Irish pound as a stray.....again!!!

Annie

Through an absolutely huge amount of emails and telephone calls involving volunteers both here and in Ireland, a transport run was masterminded that saw this little girl travelling to a safe and secure foster home in England.

Since she arrived the BIN forum has even found her a name, Annie, and it is one she clearly finds agreeable....after all she has been through you simply cannot stop her tail from wagging at 100mph when her name is called.

So far, due to the TLC she has received whilst in foster, Annie has come on in leaps and bounds.....her weight is steadily increasing and she effortlessly received the admiring comments and fuss and attention that was showered on her at the BIN funday, even finding time to make some new bullie friends and firmly ingratiate herself into the hearts of old and young alike, proving very gentle with children.

With all this it would be very easy to forget that Annie is still suffering from problems that need veterinary attention. Annie suffers from a digestive problem that needs investigation and the poor girl still suffers with her skin.....at times gnawing at her pads until she makes them bleed. Surely this would be bad enough, yet she has had an ongoing problem with her back legs....shockingly, when she walks, her back knee sockets aren't working properly and the bone pops out of the socket with each and every step.....yet you cannot stop this girl's tail wagging.

Annie

So how can YOU help? Well, BIN are funded by voluntary contributions from supporters like you.....If Annie could speak she would say that she does not want pity...or tears...what she wants is a chance at having a happy and healthy life and to give her what she deserves BIN have launched this appeal to raise funds for the veterinary fees needed.

It doesn't matter how much or how little you can afford to donate...what matters is that you do donate before just pressing the 'back' button on your web browser. Together there is no limit to what can be achieved...if YOU, and others like you, who can spare the time to read this...can also find it in their hearts to spare some money for her.......then Annie can be given the gift of a new and happy forever home.
