_Have been dealing with a really sad story today, some of you will have heard about the dogs at Hull pound that were going to be put to sleep this week, amongst them is an American bulldog bitch which I was offering to take but couldn't get much info and I needed her assessed as the only place available was a foster home with other dogs. I heard she may have a temperament problem and that she couldn't be trusted. After talks with the people it turned out that yes she does have an issue with people and on pressing a bit further it turns out that this girl was pregnant when she went into the pound, very near to be giving birth. So what do they do? Do they get on the phone and ask if any rescue can take her? No they take her to the vets and have her spayed, murdering her babies. Since then she has had problems, are your surprised? No neither am I ! I am shocked, angry and extremely upset. Why didn't they ask for our help before? Of course now it means she can't go to the foster home, we are over our limit of dogs we can afford in the kennels and already have a vets bill as long as your arm. If she had a good temperament before humans let her down then there is every good chance that with some work and tlc she will become her old self again. We CANNOT let her down again, humans owe her big time. We have the kennel booked for her but we do need your help. I am not asking for money, but I am begging you to help us to raise the funds for her. Anything you can do will be appreciated. We are all so busy raising our usual funds that we need help with this. Looking at her here she doesn't seem to have a care in the world but looks can be very deceiving. She does get to trust people she knows but it is a slow process.
